    Adjustments

Good morning team!  What a great first week we've had!  Thank you all for your support, patience, and grace as we try some things and evaluate all the swimmers in many different areas.  We've gained a lot of information and will now be moving forward with some work for our swimmers!  We are so pleased with how well the swimmers have adjusted to the many social distance requirements!  They listen well, move quickly and as needed, and are working hard to make this work together!  We are thankful for this!  It's allowed us to add a few minutes of pool time for a few of them...

A few small adjustments to our schedule/plan:

9-10's: 7:15 am -8:10 am; Come straight in to the pool area for drylands from now on.  They'll come in and hang their bags on the fence in the grassy area behind the pool and do drylands on the deck/grass.

8 & Under: 8 am - 8:45 am; meet at the basketball court

11-12's: 8:30-9:35; Meet at the basketball court

13-14's: 9:20-10:25: Meet at the basketball court

15 & Up: 10:10-11:40: Meet at the basketball court

A few notes for this week: Please encourage your swimmers to bring their waters. It's getting hot and they're getting good workouts. Newer swimmers may also finish the practices a few minutes before others sometimes. There is a point where it becomes more beneficial for them to end their workout and rest rather than rush and push through things and lose some of the skill we've been working on. Please be aware that our coaching staff has many factors to consider when working on endurance, strength, and technique work. Please know that we are working on all these areas and if we feel best for them to finish a few minutes early that day, we will have them hop out and continue again the following day when they're fresh again. We are focusing on the long term plan for each swimmer and trying our best to achieve the best long term results.

Parent volunteers: We can always use help taking temperatures at the beginning of each practice.  Cleaning procedures: Cleaning products will be in the lockers in the boys and girls restrooms.  There will be a list of cleaning procedures on the dry erase board on the left wall when coming in the main gate.  Please work together to complete the list and if you have any questions, check with other parents first if possible, and if still need help, check with Coach Jacob.

Vacations/missed days: We know that many of you take vacations, trips, attend camps, etc. that require you to miss practice, and this is fine.  We understand this is summer!  But this year, because of numbers/caps in the pool deck/social distancing, it actually is very helpful if you let us know you/your swimmer(s) will be missing for a few days in a row.  It helps us be thinking ahead about ways to adjust lanes and plans.  So, thank you to those who've been doing it, and feel free to keep those coming!

Remind app: Those who are new or haven't done it: PLEASE get set up on the remind app asap!  Please send a text to 81010 saying @swsrp  Check with Coach Jacob if you you have any questions about this 661.1316

Thank you all!  We look forward to seeing most of you tomorrow!
