Thursday, July 21: Preliminaries for swimmers 10-Under 1:00pm Warm-ups, 3:00pm meet start Friday, July 22: Preliminaries for swimmers 11-Up 7:40 Warm-ups, 9:00am meet start Saturday, July 23: Finals, top 16 7:40am Warm-ups, 9:00am start time
Events If you would like to pick your swimmer's individual events please email Coach Jodi [email protected] by end of day on Sunday July 10th. List first, second, and third choice. Coaches will pick relays If the coaches don't hear from you, they will talk with your swimmer, look at their times and place them in the event they would place the highest.
PARKING PASSES $10.50 Deadline July 12 https://swsr.swimtopia.com/shop/106947 Parking will be available in the garage across from Allan Jones at the cost of $10.50 per day. Be sure you order the Correct Day! Be sure you specify the day for each of the passes. For Finals Saturday: If you reasonably believe that a swimmer will qualify for Finals, please purchase a Saturday pass. We will have a very limited number available for purchase on Friday for Saturday finals. If you don't want to buy a parking pass: Free parking will be available at the Metron/Kingston Building next to Tyson Park (2309 Kingston Pike.) It is approximately one mile from the AJIAC. Shuttle service will NOT be provided between the pool and parking area at the Metron. No traffic will be allowed on UT Drive between the Student Aquatic Center and the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. Drop-off and Unloading will only be allowed in the right lane of Andy Holt Avenue in front of the Student Aquatic Center (SAC). NO PARKING or leaving an automobile will be permitted there at any time during the Meet. ABSOLUTELY NO UNLOADING in front of the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. The street is not wide enough, and officers WILL WRITE TICKETS to persons who block traffic by stopping there. Police officers will be present to direct traffic and ensure everyone’s safety.
GKAISA CITY MEET T-SHIRTS $15.65 Due date July 12 https://swsr.swimtopia.com/shop/106955 Proceeds from t-shirt sales go toward helping defray the costs of City Meet and to assist in funding GKAISA scholarships for swimmers. Cost will be $15.65. Sizes available will be Youth S, M and L and Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL. Be sure you order the correct day!
CITY MEET ADS Ad sales help us defray the cost of City Meet and help GKAISA provide scholarship money to our graduating seniors. The following advertisement opportunities are available for City Meet 2022. The deadline to submit an ad is Friday, July 15. Promotional Banners: Hang your team or business banner from the railing on the concession side of the Allan Jones Aquatic Center (under the scoreboard). The cost to hang your banner will be approximately $250 for all three days, depending upon your banner size. Anyone who pays to hang a banner will also receive a 1/2 page ad in the City Meet Heat Sheet. Banners should be delivered to Allan Jones on Wednesday, July 20. Posters: Spaces to hang posters in the concourse of the Allan Jones Aquatic Center will be available for purchase. We love for swimmers to do this! Cost to display a poster is $10. Posters should be on poster board or construction paper and submitted to Brad Salsbury and Kelley Perkins for approval by Wednesday, July 20. Heat Sheet Ads: Heat Sheet Ads are also available for purchase. Prices are as follows: 1/2 page $150.00 Full page $250.00 Those who purchase ads for the heat sheet can add their logos to the scoreboard for an additional $50.00. Ads must be submitted in a PDF or JPEG format. The heat sheets are printed in black and white. Logos must be in PDF or JPEG without a white background. NATIONAL ANTHEM If anyone is interested in auditioning to perform the National Anthem, please contact Harry Whiteside at 865.936.5454. Deadline to submit is Monday, July 18.
Also, the diving well at Allan Jones will be closed on Thursday-Saturday of City Meet. We have been requested to advise that absolutely no one will be allowed in the diving well on these dates.
