Misc Info
Good evening! Hope you all are doing well and are wrapping up your school year(s) well! I know it's a crazy time, so I just wanted to put some things in an organized form as we approach summer.
First of all, thank you for the kind thoughts, prayers, texts, treats, and meals you all are sending/doing. We are grateful for each and every one! It is an honor and a blessing to be leading this team, and we are so thankful for each of you!
Quick notes...Our practice and meet schedules are on our website at swsr.swimtopia.com Please get familiar with those schedules and get them in your calendars! A quick note about meet RSVP and worker positions...We will send out a detailed email that will explain how and when we do both those processes and who is your point of contact for everything. While I love hearing from you, we do have an organized method that keeps all our schedules in one place so we can create lineups and workers that work for all of our schedules. So please do not stress about this now-we will give you plenty of time and practice for our Red and Black meet!
If you have a 10 & Under NEW to SWSR swimmer, please don't forget about our evaluations on Thu 5/25 here at Sugarwood. We have gotten everyone signed up, so we'll see you there!
If you have been with SWSR for at least 2 summers, please plan to join us on Wed 5/31 at our Stroke and Turn Clinic. We need to move some of our experienced parents into this role, so please mark your calendars!!
All swimmers will need to be sure to have proper suits/goggles/caps for their first day of practice, and a water bottle. Girls wear a one piece competition style swim suit, and boys can wear either a speedo or jammer competition style suit. If you/your swimmer has long hair that covers the eyes, please plan to wear a cap. If you aren't sure how to put one on, we'll help! Just send your swimmer with a ponytail and we'll take it from there! All swimmers need to bring water to practice!! As it gets hotter and hotter, they'll get dehydrated easier and won't often realize it until it's too late because they're in the water. If you have any questions about any of this, please let me know!
We will also be setting up a group me soon, that everyone will be invited to, and at least one parent will need to join. We'll use this method for last minute weather cancellations, meet info that needs to be seen right away, and other last minute reminders and emergencies.
Be prepared, we're finalizing all the school things, and all the last minute swim things and then we'll be getting lots of info to you-get ready with your RAY OCTANE because once we start, it goes fast!
Thank you all, have a great weekend!
