Red and Black Details
Good evening! As we move into the season, and everything isn't a "first" hopefully we'll stop blowing up your emails :) But so much we need to share for now!!
Tomorrow is our Red and Black Meet! Please see Michelle's last email for timeline, but here is some basic info for everyone...
We are now in the 24 hour window- so any sickness, fever, or vomiting at this point, please TEXT me ASAP, or ANY additional issues/changes for tomorrow's meet need to be in a text, not email. Please save any non-meet/emergent questions for after the meet as well.
Bring sharpies to the meet! Please write your swimmers FIRST and LAST NAME and age group on RIGHT shoulder blade in a SHARPIE if they are under the age of 13. This helps cut down on chaos in Clerk of Course and all parent workers can know exactly where to find their name and age group.
Please write your child's event numbers, event, heat, and lane on their arm or leg in sharpie. If you are new, save this for when you arrive, and someone will show you how!
ANY cap worn MUST be a SWSR cap. It can be the white or pink silicone, or any previous season's latex cap. All swimmers with hair long enough to cover their eyes need to wear a cap.
Come hungry to the meet :) We will have the Yoakum's famous pulled pork nachos, brisket tacos, and queso, as well as pizza, drinks, frozen treats, candy, and snacks. All proceeds go back to SWSR, and you don't have to deal with cooking; it's a win-win :)
Please do your jobs given by meet director. Do not ask coaches to make adjustments. We can't and won't, and it will make it harder for us to help all our swimmers.
IF you see your child's relay only has 3 swimmers-that's ok! Our senior swimmers are prepared to hop in and help out. We'll take care of that :)
I plan to email out the heat sheet for the meet tomorrow as soon as possible, but probably around 2. This is where you'll find your child's events, and heats and lanes. The more last minute changes, the longer it takes to fix and get to you. Please print this and bring it, or you can also access it on your phone.
OK! Have a great evening, rest up, and please be sure the swimmers are drinking tons of water. We're starting to see some dehydration already! Time to fuel well.
See you soon!
