    Stingrays May 27-31

    Hello out there Ray-Nation!

From here on out I will be sending a weekly at-a-glance email to keep you up to date on important information for the week ahead.

    Week 1

    Monday: Memorial Day, no practice

Tuesday: Practice, parent meeting at 8:00 & 9:30 in the grass outside the baby pool (choose one); Stroke & Turn Clinic 6:00pm

    Wednesday: Practice

    Thursday: Practice

    Friday: Practice

    Important dates ahead:

    6/3 Blaze Pizza night

    6/5 SMI entries due

    6/6 Red & Black Meet

Please plan to attend one of the parent meetings Tuesday morning. I am looking forward to meeting the new families and seeing our returning ones. I won’t keep you long, but it is my intent to get you up to RAY-speed on expectations and answer questions.

If you have been with the team at least 2 years, we hope you would consider becoming Stroke & Turn certified. Certifications are good for two years. Please plan to attend the clinic we are hosting this Tuesday night at the Sugarwood pavilion. Our meets cannot run without certified officials. We are grateful for you!

Stacy Rector will have a table set up on Tuesday morning for families to receive their pre-ordered merchandise and team caps. Athlete t-shirts will be distributed before pictures at the Red & Black meet. Please check in with her to collect your items.

    A few reminders:

    - No food on the pool deck, please have your swimmers bring water. They are welcome to have a snack after practice outside the pool gates.

    - Sign up for SMI. This is an unusual year with this meet being so early in the season. The more time our coaches can have to start creating a lineup at the RAY-Headquarters, the better.

    - We use a text service for weather alerts and to get important info out quickly. If you haven’t joined Remind, please send a text to: 81010; text this message: @2024stin

    - Swimmer’s ear is a common occurrence that your athlete may experience. To help prevent this, at home you can combine 1 part vinegar to 1 part alcohol and drop it in their ears after spending time in the pool.

The time has finally come, hold on to your hats, fasten your seatbelts…..

    RAYS IN THE WATER!
