Stingrays June 15-19 💦
Ray- Nation,
This week we travel to Knoxville Racquet Club (KRC) and it’s going to be a good one. The theme is RED-OUT! Wear your red to show your ray-spirit! See important timeline info below.
📣 The time is NOW to register for the Smoky Mountain Invitational (SMI) and City Meet. To register, you will go to our team store and purchase these meets. We will take it from there to make sure your athlete is in the lineup. These are optional large-scale meets with all of the teams in our league participating. SMI will be held July 11-12 in Alcoa and City Meet is July 23-25 at UT. These meets can be purchased individually or with a cost-saving bundle. We are extending the deadline to purchase SMI by a few days. Please register your swimmer today! We would love to have as many participants as possible there! https://swsr.swimtopia.com/shop
📣 SMI is particularly special to the Stingrays because we hope to bring home another CHAMPIONSHIP WIN! The Stingrays have won SMI the past three years in a row. The winning team gets to celebrate by going down the waterslide! SMI is a meet that allows only summer swimmers to compete. We need everyone to participate to bring home a Championship for the RAY-NATION!

PARKING AND VISITING TEAM AREA
Our parking lot usually fills pretty quickly. Please be sure not to double park, make sure not to block anyone in and only park in the lot, not in grass. There is extra parking at the indoor courts, please follow the signs.
YOU MAY PARK ALONG TIMBERCREST TRAIL, BUT ONLY ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE ROAD HEADED TOWARD LONAS. PLEASE BE SURE TO COMMUNICATE THIS TO YOUR TEAM. THERE WILL BE STREET SIGNS.
The visiting team area is located to the left of the main pool entrance under the pavilion. Teams are also welcome to set up tents outside the pool fence along the walkway beyond the gate.
Please help us keep swimmers out of any unused sections of the pool and baby pools during the meet. Also, please do not enter the tennis court areas.
Wildlife Notice:
We currently have a mama duck who has built a nest inside our pool fence. Please do not remove any boundaries or disturb the nest. Feel free to quietly observe her from a distance.
Ducks and their nests are federally protected, so we are doing our best to accommodate our special wildlife visitors while keeping everyone safe.
Please note that the pool will close to KRC members at 3:00 PM. We ask that teams do not arrive early to set up tents, reserve spaces, or save areas before the pool closes and meet setup begins.
Bring chairs, blankets, tents, and money for our Snack Shack. The Snack Shack has a full menu available, and we will have an Ice Cream or Shaved Ice Truck as well. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not allowed in the pool area during GKAISA meets.
Rays in the water,
Michelle Bell
