Hello Stingray Nation

It is with great anticipation for the 2016 summer swim season I am sending out this email.  The Coaches and the SWSR Board are already planning for a RAYtastic summer.  There will be a more informative email in about 30 days, but for now please note we will be having our Swim Team Registration earlier in spring like last year.  The size of our team has continued to grow and the need to confirm who will be returning and what available age group spots there are needs to be determined as early as possible.    PLEASE know we want ALL of the Stingray Nation to return for the 2016 season, it is because of your families dedication to the stingrays that the summers are filled with FUN and competition…. RAYstyle of course.

Starting Block update.  2016 will mark the beginning of a new era for SWSR with permanent starting blocks.  No longer will there be a need for timers and scribes to stand on the back of the blocks as in years past.  Attached to this email is a photo of the new starting blocks.  There are a few finishing touches to be made, but the RAY pool will be ready for a new type of competitive start in 2016 for the SWSR swimmers.  There is still a need for some fundraising early in the SWSR season to help rebuild the financial reserves of the SWSR organization due the to cost of seeing the starting block project completed.  I know the SWSR families and swimmers will step up this years as they always have done in the past.  All in all it is very exciting to achieve the long term goal of permanent starting blocks.

Have a great rest of your winter while thinking of the Stingray Summer to come.  Lastly RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT.
