SWSR 362 vs. BFST 359 swim meet and SMI - RECAP
An ALL time great swim meet. This meet again confirmed that every SWIMMER and every EVENT counts. Going into the free relays the score was TIED. Whichever team won the most free relays would win. Some of the loudest cheering ever seen around any pool deck occurred during the free relays. Even Coach Ben broke out his extreme cheering. At the same time Eddie Ceausu on the shoulders of another stingray waving the Stingray Flag during the RELAYS was one for the memory book. In the end SWSR won more Free Relays than BFST. A RAYincredible event. So how does SWSR top that evening. GO to SMI with 79 swimmers, score the most total points ever in SWSR history, Finish 1st in league two, 3rd overall in total points, have 12 overall event champions, break three SMI record, countless top 12 event finishes, and have a RAYblast in the team tent during rain delays. This past week was filled with incredible moments I could only imagine how even more incredible it might have been with ALL our swimmers at SMI. Something to consider for NEXT year. Let me not forget to thank the parents for all their volunteering this past week, enduring the rain delays as SMI, persevering the Heat, Keeping the swimmers fed and hydrated. Thanks parents for your help and participation.
This week SWSR is back in black at home in the RAY pool. WEATHER PENDING we will be having our annual GLOW NIGHT DANCE PARTY immediately following the swim meet and cleanup outside the fence on the north side of the pool. Bring whatever you can that glows and lets make it a ROCKIN evening. Don't forget this evening ROCKSTAR theme. We need everyone possible at the swim meet to HONOR our senior swimmers and send them off in STINGRAY NATION style.
